RAPTR Study

The RATR Study is unique to the Retina Center.  It is a 12-month study co-authored by Dr. Abdhish Bhavsar and Dr. Mary Bhavsar, sponsored by Genentech.  “RAPTR” stands for ERG/EOG Study in AMD Patients Treated with Ranibizumab.  The study tests how treating patients with adult-onset macular degeneration (AMD) using Lucentis (ranibizumab) injections affects the functioning of the retina.  Electrophysiologic tests of the retina (ERG and EOG) on each patient are conducted at the University of Minnesota.
