DRCR Trials

The Diabetic Retinopathy Clinical Research (DRCR) trial is a nation-wide study sponsored by the National Institute of Health to determine the most effective treatment for diabetic retinopathy.  In these studies, depending on the patient’s type of diabetic retinopathy, new combinations of laser, medication, and/or education are offered.

Your physician will discuss whether a DRCR protocol is available or right for you.  Additional general information about the DRCR Network is available at www.public.drcr.net.
