Regeneron VGFT-OD-0605, VIEW1 Study

A Randomized, Double Masked, Active Controlled Phase III Study of the Efficacy, Safety, and Tolerability of Repeated Doses of Intravitreal (IVT) VEGF Trap in Subjects with Neovascular Age-Related Macular Degeneration. 

 

This trial is currently recruiting men and women over the age of 50 who have wet macular degeneration that is not previously treated.  Subjects will be randomized to receive VEGF Trap every 4 or 8 weeks, or ranibizumab every 4 weeks.  Study visits occur every 4 weeks for approximately 2 years.  Patients will receive the following testing procedures: lab draws, urinalysis, eye exams, retinal photography and fluorescein angiography, optical coherence tomography, and EKG.
